Bread & Butter Concepts – 2016 Kansas City Restaurant Week
Bread & Butter Concepts (BBC) restaurant group is participating in KC Restaurant Week (KCRW) with six of its restaurants this year: BRGR Kitchen + Bar (both the Prairie Village and Power & Light District locations), Urban Table, Gram & Dun, Taco Republic, and República. BBC’s KCRW menus are available every day during Restaurant Week (January 15-24, 2016). Each restaurant, excepting BRGR Prairie Village, takes reservations. Here are the details:
BRGR Kitchen + Bar (both locations) will be serving a $15, two-course menu during lunch and dinner. Course One is a choice of soup or salad and Course Two is a choice of burger, “not-so-burger” or entrée salad. The new burger creation, the “Steakhouse,” which is made from a special blend of local Hatfield Farms beef, is available on the KCRW menu.
Urban Table will be serving a two course, $15 lunch menu, and a four-course, $33 dinner menu. The lunch menu begins with a choice of soup or salad, and the second course is a choice of sandwich, pasta of the day, tacos, or entrée salad. Dinner’s first course is a choice of shared appetizer, followed by a second course choice of soup or salad. The third course is a choice of entrée, including a chef’s daily creation or special. Fourth course dessert options include Chocolate S’mores, a guest favorite—all the yum of camping without sleeping on the ground.
Gram & Dun’s Restaurant Week offerings include a two-course, $15 lunch menu, and a three-course, $33 dinner menu. The lunch menu includes choice of soup or salad and choice of sandwiches, entrées, or entrée salad. The dinner menu is a choice of soup or salad, choice of entrée including a “daily market special,” and choice of dessert. For the KCRW Dinner Menu, the chefs have created a special entrée: Carbonara Bucatini with house-cured guanciale and cured egg yolk.
Taco Republic will serve a two-course menu during lunch and dinner at $15 each. The first course is a choice of José Queso or Guacamole served with tortilla chips, and the second course is an entrée with choices of 2 tacos and a side, a flautitas plate, or half a wood-fired chicken with beans, rice and tortillas.
República will be offering a two-course lunch menu for $15, and a three-course dinner menu for $33. The lunch menu’s first course is a choice of cold tapas (salad, Pan Con Tamate, or Pan Al Queso), and the second course is a choice of sandwich and potato salad, or lunch entrée including Cocas, Gambas, Chicken Thighs or Paella of the Day. On the dinner menu, the first course is a selection from nine hot or cold tapas options. The second course is a choice of entrée plates ranging from veggie paella to seafood, pork or steak entrées. To finish, select from three desserts including the Lemon Saffron Cake with clove ice cream, rose whipped cream and shaved pink lady apple. This is a special dessert that premiered at the Torres Wine Dinner in September. It is light, clean, and fresh — not too sweet.
