What is your role at Bread & Butter Concepts? Day Bartender aka “Crush-tender” at Gram & Dun

How long have you been with us? 2 years in October!

Favorite part of your job? Making people laugh

Drink of choice? I’m currently working on creating an earthy, savory cocktail- something with mushrooms. Everyone seems to love mushrooms. I can’t stand the texture, but they have a solid earthiness. So I want to see if I can bring that out in a cocktail.

Flavors you currently have a crush on? I’m really digging the amaro scene right now.

Describe yourself in 6 words or less. I am a Star Wars fan.

Where are you from originally? I was born on a little island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean called Samoa, but I was raised in Kansas City.

Where did you work prior to Bread & Butter Concepts? You’ve seen me slinging drinks at Kona Grill and La Bodega on Soouthwest Blvd.

What’s your favorite Kansas City activity to do? I love taking my pitbull/sharpei puppy to the outdoor sculpture part at the Nelson. She’s quite sophisticated.

Best place to eat in KC?

Brunch: Grand Street Cafe at the bar with Pammy, or Gennessee Royale in the West Bottoms Happy Hour: The American Dinner: McCoy’s patio or McCormick & Schmick’s patio. Special OccasionL Le Fou Frog or Novel Late Night: Westport Cafe or Julep.

However, I’ve got love for Bread & Butter restaurants.
